Netflix is all set to turn up the heat this Independence Day week with the launch of its latest original series Saare Jahan Se Accha — a high-octane espionage thriller starring Pratik Gandhi in one of his most intense roles yet. Premiering August 13, the series promises a tightly-woven narrative of sacrifice, patriotism, and secret wars fought in the shadows — where the price of silence is often national survival.
Directed by Sumit Purohit and created by Asur fame Gaurav Shukla, Saare Jahan Se Accha is a fictional but fiercely realistic take on India’s intelligence operations during the tense 1970s. With a team of compelling storytellers behind the scenes — including creative producer Bhavesh Mandalia and writers Meghna Srivastava, Abhijeet Khuman, Shivam Shankar, Kunal Kushwah, and Ishraq Shah — the series is produced by Bombay Fables and features a stellar ensemble cast.
Leading the mission is Pratik Gandhi as Vishnu Shankar — a razor-sharp, morally conflicted intelligence officer entrusted with sabotaging a potential nuclear catastrophe. Alongside him are Sunny Hinduja, Suhail Nayyar, Kritika Kamra, Tillotama Shome, Rajat Kapoor, and Anup Soni — each playing key roles in the chessboard of deception and diplomacy.
