A 61-minute-long documentary, Dining With The Kapoors, was released on Netflix on November 21. It was shot around Raj Kapoor’s birth anniversary, in December 2024 and comprises most members of India’s first film family together, that is, Ranbir Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Randhir Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Agastya Nanda, Armaan Jain, Aadar Jain, Raj Kapoor's daughter Rima Jain, Raj Kapoor's granddaughter-in-law Anissa Malhotra Jain, Raj Kapoor's niece Kanchan Desai, Raj Kapoor's nephew Kunal Kapoor, Raj Kapoor's great granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda, Raj Kapoor's son-in-law Manoj Jain, Raj Kapoor's sister-in-law Neila Shammi Kapoor, Raj Kapoor's grandnephew Zahaan Kapoor, Raj Kapoor's nephew Jatin Prithviraj Kapoor and Raj Kapoor's grandniece Shaira Laura Kapoor.

Armaan Jain, Raj Kapoor's grandson, was the host and sweetly cooked the food. The show covers the conversations during the dining time and it also has a segment where the Kapoors are talking about Raj Kapoor and a lot more. Ranbir Kapoor said, “My name is actually my grandfather’s name. His real name was Ranbir Raj Kapoor. That’s how he used to sign his checks. And, when I was born, I think they were running out of names from ‘R’. So, my granduncle, Mr Shammi Kapoor, told Raj Kapoor, ‘Since you’ve not used this name, let’s give it to him’. That’s how I got the name Ranbir from him.”

Ranbir also revealed, “My grandfather used to hide these caramel toffees in his fridge inside his room.” His sister, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, continued, “We had to stand in a queue. He used to tell us, ‘Pehle, salaam karo’. So, we used to salute him (smiles).”

Ranbir then added, “Then he (Raj Kapoor) would say, ‘Ab, pappi do’, and we used to kiss his cheek. Then, all of us would get the caramel toffee. That seemed like a very big prize, you know.” Riddhima then said, “Each time, we entered his room, hum pehle hi line laga dete the!”
