Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra has been in the headlines ever since her rumoured relationship with AAP leader Raghav Chadha came to the spotlight. However, the actress and the politician put the rumours to rest after they got engaged on May 13 in New Delhi. Amid the much fanfare, the two of them received blessings from their families, friends, colleagues and more. Following their engagement, Parineeti has taken to her social media to thank everyone for their good wishes.

In a joint statement, the actress wrote, “Raghav and I are overwhelmed with the love and abundance of positivity we have received over the past few weeks, particularly on our engagement. We both come from different worlds, and it's amazing to know that our worlds also unite with our union. We have gained a bigger family than we could have ever imagined.”

She continued, “We are so touched by everything we have read/ seen, and we cannot thank you all enough. We embark on this journey knowing that you all are standing with us. A special shout-out to our amazing friends in the media. Thank you for being there through the day and cheering for us. Love Parineeti & Raghav.”

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Priyanka Chopra, singer Mika Singh and many more were in attendance at the ceremony to bless the newly engaged couple.

Prior to their engagement, the actress was spotted with Raghav Chadha at the ongoing Indian Premiere League (IPL) match. Both of them were seen at the Mohali match of Punjab Kings vs Mumbai Indians.

As per reports, Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha have been long-time friends as they studied together at the London School of Economics. They also follow each other on Instagram. They were first spotted together grabbing dinner. Following which, Raghav came to pick her up at the Delhi airport, adding fuel to their wedding rumours. As per several reports, they are committed and will tie the knot soon.

On the work front, Parineeti Chopra will next star in Akshay Kumar-led Capsule Gill. She also has Imtiaz Ali’s Chamkila with Diljit Dosanjh.
