Neetu Kapoor paid tribute to her late husband Rishi Kapoor on his fifth death anniversary earlier today. The veteran Hindi film actor passed away on April 30, 2020, at the age of 67 after a two-year battle with leukemia.
On Wednesday, Neetu Kapoor posted a picture of the late Rishi Kapoor on her Instagram Stories, showing him taking a selfie with a drink in hand. In the caption, she wrote, “Miss you, Kapoor sahab.”
Earlier this month, Neetu posted a throwback photo from her engagement day on Instagram Stories. The black-and-white image featured her standing beside Rishi Kapoor. In the caption, she wrote, “Was engaged on this day in 1979 (two hearts emoji) time flies.”
Prior to this, Neetu Kapoor marked 49 years of her film Kabhi Kabhie by remembering her late husband, Rishi Kapoor. She shared a vintage poster of the iconic film on Instagram Stories, and in another clip, played its popular soundtrack from the original record.
Neetu and Rishi Kapoor’s daughter, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, also paid tribute to the late actor. She posted a black-and-white photo of Rishi Kapoor on her Instagram Story and wrote, “Miss you saying ‘Quiet Mushk’ (white heart) Love you everyday.”
Neetu and Rishi Kapoor began dating after bonding during the filming of Zehreela Insaan in 1974. They married on January 22, 1980 in a grand Punjabi ceremony at the Golf Course in Chembur, Mumbai.
On the work front, Neetu Kapoor was last seen in the 2022 film Jugjugg Jeeyo, starring alongside Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani. The film marked her return to the big screen after a hiatus following the passing of her husband, Rishi Kapoor.
