Television actors Sandeep Baswana and Ashlesha Savant have officially tied the knot after more than two decades together, leaving fans delighted as they shared their first photos as newlyweds. The couple opted for a serene and traditional ceremony in Vrindavan, a place that holds deep spiritual significance for them.

Taking to social media, the duo posted romantic and heartwarming wedding portraits, celebrating their long-awaited union. They captioned the photos, “And just like that, we stepped into a new chapter as Mr & Mrs…Tradition found its way into our hearts. We are filled with gratitude for all the blessings”.

Sandeep looked elegant in a pale almost-white, pink sherwani featuring subtle silver or white embellishments along the collar, front placket, and cuffs. His look was completed with a matching churidar and shawl, giving him a refined and graceful appearance. Ashlesha complemented him perfectly, standing out as a radiant and unconventional bride in a soft rose-pink saree adorned with delicate silver work across the border and fabric. Her ensemble included a matching blouse, a dupatta draped gently over her shoulders, and a veil placed gracefully over her head.

Her bridal look was elevated with jewellery featuring pearls and red stones, along with traditional chooda and bangles that seamlessly tied into the colour theme. The couple’s understated yet stunning aesthetics reflected their desire for a wedding rooted in tradition and simplicity.

Speaking to ETimes, Sandeep revealed the inspiration behind their intimate ceremony, saying, "Ashlesha and I visited Vrindavan in April and felt a deep connect with the Radha Krishna temples there. That trip inspired us to get married after being together for 23 years. Our parents are the happiest - they've been waiting for this for a long time. We wanted to keep it simple, and what better than getting married in a Lord Krishna temple." Ashlesha echoed his sentiments, sharing, "Vrindavan was the ideal place - we felt a deep connection when we visited. It was an organic, sudden decision, and we chose to keep it private with just our families."

For those unaware, the couple has been together for 23 years ever since they met on Ashlesha’s television debut Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, in which Sandeep played the role of Sahil Virani whereas Ashlesha played Teesha Mehta Virani, Gautam’s second wife. Sandeep Baswana recently appeared in a lead role in Colors’ sci-fi drama Apollena, while Ashlesha is currently seen as Arshi Mukherjee in Jhanak. She also earned immense appreciation for her portrayal of Barkha Mehta Kapadia in Anupama.

Their wedding marks a beautiful milestone in their long-standing relationship, and fans are now showering the newlyweds with love and best wishes as they embark on this new chapter.
