Having made his mark in the Marathi entertainment industry, Kshitish Date now stepped into the Hindi space with Mistry, where he plays a police officer named Bunty. The web series, featuring an ensemble cast including Mona Singh and Ram Kapoor, marked his official Hindi debut. Previously, he portrayed the current Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde in both Dharmaveer films.

Sharing his excitement, Kshitish said, "For the first time in my life, I got to play a unique, somewhat comic role on screen—and that too in uniform! I’ve portrayed many characters in theatre, TV, and films, but this Bollywood web series gave me the opportunity to try something entirely different. Working alongside such seasoned Bollywood actors was a phenomenal experience. Although the Mistry team was new to me, they welcomed me with open arms right from day one. Sharing the screen with stalwarts like Ram Kapoor—India’s television superstar and brilliant actresses like Mona Singh and Shikha (Talsania) was truly motivating. It’s heartening to see my role being appreciated, and it gives me a deep sense of fulfillment.”

Mistry, streaming on JioCinema, is a mystery thriller featuring Kshitish Date as Bunty, a police officer. He is known for his work in films like Dharmaveer, Mulshi Pattern, Phulwanti, and the recent play Me vs Me.
