Kangana Ranaut recently spoke about her bond with Salman Khan, describing him as a “good friend” and shedding light on their missed opportunities to collaborate. Addressing why they haven’t worked together despite several chances, Kangana revealed that Salman had offered her pivotal roles in Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Sultan, but she turned them down. Speaking to News18, she shared, “Salman is a good friend of mine, and we’ve had many opportunities where we could work together. But, you know, let’s see. Somehow it never came together.”

Why Kangana Rejected Salman’s Film Offers

In a previous interview with Siddharth Kannan, Kangana detailed her reasons for declining Salman’s film offers. She said, “Salman offered me a role in Bajrangi Bhaijaan. I was like, ‘Yeh kya role diya hai? (What is this role?).’ He then approached me for Sultan. I didn’t take that up. He was like, ‘What more do I offer to you now?’” Despite these rejections, Kangana maintained that Salman’s kindness and support for her work have remained constant.

Salman Khan’s Reaction to Kangana’s Film, Emergency

Kangana also spoke about Salman’s interest in her upcoming film Emergency, which she has directed and produced. “Salman is so kind. He keeps talking to me. He is even excited to watch Emergency. We have a common friend; he sent him and was like ‘You go see what film she has made.’ He called me and said, ‘It’s a nice film.’ I was like, ‘So you have the news, but you haven’t watched it yourself.’ This is the kind of bonding we share,” she said.

On the work front, Kangana Ranaut’s next film, Emergency, is set to release on January 17. The movie, in which she portrays former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, showcases her as both director and producer. Meanwhile, Salman Khan is currently busy hosting Bigg Boss and shooting his next, Sikandar.
