Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, Jackie Shroff, Nana Patekar, Chitrangada Singh, Fardeen Khan, Chunky Pandey, Johnny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, Dino Morea, Ranjeet, Soundarya Sharma, Nikitin Dheer, producer Sajid Nadiadwala and director Tarun Mansukhani attended the trailer launch of their comedy Housefull 5 at a multiplex in Mumbai. The event involved a lot of fun and entertainment and one of the most hilarious moments was when Akshay Kumar was asked about his fees.

The madness began when the journalist first asked Sajid Nadiadwala, “Housefull 5 ka budget takriban kya hoga aur aapse zyada fees kisne vasooli?” Sajid laughed over this query, with the rest of the audience. He asked, “Vasool ki?” as he couldn’t believe his ears. He added, “The IT people come in the morning, not in the afternoon!”

On a serious note, Sajid Nadiadwala then said, “Nobody has done vasooli. I feel that everybody takes the price they deserve, not a rupee more, not a rupee less.” At this point, Shreyas Talpade quipped, “Vasooli is in Golmaal, this is Housefull!”

The journalist then desired to ask the same question to Akshay Kumar but the mic was taken away from him. All the photographers and videographers demanded that the microphone be handed back to the said journalist. When it didn’t happen, Abhishek Bachchan stepped down from the stage and graciously gave his mic to him.

The journalist asked the same question but this time to Akshay Kumar, “How much did you charge for Housefull 5? After all, the Raid 2 actor Riteish is also here.” Akshay went silent as the whole audi continued to laugh. Abhishek pretended to get angry and jokingly told the journalist, “Mic wapis de!”

Akshay Kumar then finally replied, “Beta, even if I have taken money, main tujhe kyun bataoonga? Tu hamara bhatija lagta hai ki tujhe bataunga?” This answer brought the house down.

The actor further said, “Maine paise liye. Bahut acche khaase liye. Film bani. Bahut acche khaase budget mein bani. Today is a day of happiness. Tujhe raid daalni hai? Chhod na!”

Housefull 5 releases in cinemas on June 6.
