Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, Jackie Shroff, Nana Patekar, Chitrangada Singh, Fardeen Khan, Chunky Pandey, Johnny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, Dino Morea, Ranjeet, Soundarya Sharma, Nikitin Dheer, producer Sajid Nadiadwala and director Tarun Mansukhani attended the trailer launch of their comedy Housefull 5 at a multiplex in Mumbai. The film has come as a breath of fresh air as it's in the slapstick zone, a rarity in today’s times.

Akshay Kumar spoke about this aspect, “It's not easy to do slapstick. Nana saab, Riteish, Shreyas, Abhishek, etc. can vouch for it. They have been a part of so many comedies.”

He added, “Slapstick comedy is very difficult. Here, we have done slapstick mixed with physical and action comedy. I am a huge fan of Charlie Chaplin. Trust me, I even have his photograph in my wallet. If you want to see it, I can show it to you.”

Akshay continued, “I am a huge fan of Charlie Chaplin because of the way he did comedy, that too without saying a single word. This film has comedy in that zone. Unfortunately, this type of comedy doesn't get that kind of respect, acclaim or...”

A person from the audience added, “Award.” Akshay Kumar replied, “Award toh bhool ja bete! Nevertheless, it is very difficult to make people laugh when it comes to slapstick and physical comedy.”

Akshay Kumar then asked if they’d like to see the picture of Chaplin in his wallet. The media said “Yes” in unison. He asked his team member for his wallet. He then showed the picture of Charlie Chaplin and it was greeted with applause.

The team member then took back the wallet. Riteish Deshmukh jokingly told Akshay’s staffer, “Can I have the wallet please?” On a serious note, Riteish added, “Yeh sochna bahut galat hota hai ki comedies mein content nahin hota.”

Housefull 5 releases in cinemas on June 6.
