Taapsee Pannu recently shared insights into the challenges of portraying complex characters. During a candid conversation on Bollywood Hungama's Hangout, the actress discussed the lasting impact of her roles in Pink and Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba.
Taapsee Pannu Speaks On Mental Toll Of Intense Characters
When asked if she ever carried on-screen characters into real life, Taapsee revealed a personal struggle. "It happened to me right from Pink where I actually had to take solid time out from work for a few weeks because I was mentally very fragile after finishing that film," she shared. The actress realised that such intense roles would be a recurring theme in her career and that she would need to develop a stronger mental fortitude.
Taapsee Pannu Admits Developing A Thick Skin
Despite the challenges, Taapsee has learned to cope with the demanding nature of her roles. "I have developed a little bit of thick skin for this, but it still affects me," she admitted. The actress explained how Hasseen Dillruba influenced her personal style, revealing a previously unexplored side of her personality. "My wardrobe changed after Hasseen Dillruba. Not that I didn’t enjoy wearing saree before, but saree has big space in my closet now, courtesy to Hasseen Dillruba," she said.
Speaking of the upcoming Netflix film, Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba is slated to arrive on the streaming giant on August 9. Produced by Colour Yellow Productions and T-Series Films, it is a sequel to the 2021 film. Besides Taapsee, it also stars Vikrant Massey and Sunny Kaushal.
