Finally, Avinash Kamath sets out on the last leg of his extraction mission. Will The Freelancer be able to save Aliya? The series is based on the book "A Ticket to Syria" by Shirish Thorat, directed by Bhav Dhulia, produced by Friday Storytellers, created by showrunner Neeraj Pandey, directed by Bhav Dhulia and produced by Shital Bhatia. Set to release on December 15, 2023, on Disney+ Hotstar, The Freelancer: The Conclusion stars Mohit Raina and veteran actor Anupam Kher along with Kashmira Pardeshi. The series also features talented actors like Sushant Singh, John Kokken, Gauri Balaji and Navneet Malik, Manjiri Faddnis, and Sarah Jane Dias amongst others.
When you are making the biggest extraction series of the year, challenges are going to be in your way. Mohit Raina who portrays the role of Avinash Kamath aka The Freelancer decodes the challenges they faced during the making of the show.
Talking about the same, Mohit Raina said, “Three really challenging scenes were that I don't drink in my real life, so I always find it fascinating and challenging to portray a drunken person. While acting sometimes, you kind of use your own experiences at times, so there were a couple of scenes where I was drinking and I was high, you know the alcohol limit was a little more than normal whatever the punishable limit is, so it was quite different for me to understand it and try and do emotion and play that drunken bit, that was quite interesting. The other challenging sequence would be the climax where I had to go and rescue Aliya because it was divided into different parts, it was shot differently in various areas and places. One more scene I had to pick was comforting Aliya, If you see, I don't have many scenes with Aliya’s character, so to have a conversation with somebody only on the phone and understanding or knowing the person, was quite tricky”
