Kunaal Roy Kapur is all set to headline Thode Door Thode Paas, a heartfelt family drama that examines one of today’s most relatable dilemmas — how people remain constantly connected online yet drift apart emotionally. Directed by Ajay Bhuyan and created and written by Shiirshak S. Anand, the ZEE5 original is produced by Manish Trehan, Shailesh Sanghvi, and Nailesh Gada. The series is slated to premiere on November 7, 2025.

Opening up about the show’s theme, Kunaal reflected on how technology shapes modern relationships. The actor shared that while social media and messaging apps do help people stay in touch, they often come at the cost of real human connection. “The truth is that the phone and family groups do keep you connected in some ways, but when we get obsessed with our image on social media and we get sucked into spending too much time on our devices without truly engaging with the people around us, then are we closer or further away? We need to find a balance and know when to put it down,” he said.

In Thode Door Thode Paas, Kunaal plays a family man navigating the push and pull between his digital life and personal relationships. The series also features veteran actor Pankaj Kapoor, who essays the role of Kunaal's father-in-law. Speaking about his experience working with the acclaimed performer, Kunaal said, “It was a really wonderful experience. I’ve always looked up to Pankajji with awe and admiration and I’m happy to say that has only increased since working with him. Marvellous insight into a scene and constantly providing possibilities. An inspiration.”

Kunaal also praised his co-star Mona Singh, who plays his on-screen wife in the series. “Mona is an incredible actress — natural and fluid. She glides through a scene with ease. We also are of a similar vintage, so we hit it off really well. Had a really fun time working with her,” he shared.

With its universal theme and talented ensemble, Thode Door Thode Paas promises to be a thought-provoking, emotionally resonant drama about rediscovering connection in an age where everyone is only a click away yet worlds apart.
