Filmmaker Anusha Rizvi’s feature film debut Peepli Live received tremendous acclaim and found takers at the box office too back in 2010. She had to wait a lot for her next directorial venture, which she recently completed shooting. The yet untitled movie stars Kritika Kamra in the lead. The actress got talking about the film in an exclusive chat with Bollywood Hungama.

Sharing more about the film, Kritika said, “It’s a very interesting concept. She directed Peepli Live. So, anybody who has seen her work knows that she does this thing where she is able to say something deeper with humour. It’s that kind of a film. It’s relatable. It’s not as intense as the shows (Saare Jahan Se Accha) I have been a part of where wars are happening and people are dying. Aisa kuchh nahin ho raha hai usme. It’s more light-hearted and really relatable and warm kind of a film.”

Kritika, however, isn’t aware whether the film will arrive in theatres or OTT. “That completely depends on the market and the makers,” she said. “It is difficult to predict. We don’t know what the scenario will be six months from now or even three months from now. It has been so uncertain the way films are performing. There are some surprises and some shocks also. The market is so volatile.”

Kritika Kamra was last seen earlier this month in the Netflix web series Saare Jahan Se Accha: The Silent Guardians. Apart from her, it also starred an ensemble cast of Pratik Gandhi, Sunny Hinduja, Tillotama Shome, Suhail Nayyar, Rajat Kapoor and Anup Soni.
