Harman Baweja is all set to bring a supernatural web series titled Jagdalpur as his next production. The news was shared exclusively with Bollywood Hungama by the show’s actor Shaan Groverr. “It’s a supernatural love story,” he said. “So, it has got a lot of VFX. Primarily it’s a love story but with a lot of thrill, mystery pieces and supernatural stuff.”
Sharing more about the place Jagdalpur, which is in Chhattisgarh, Shaan said, “A lot of people don’t know about Jagdalpur. A lot of black magic and supernatural things happen there. It is the most ancient black magical place of India. I got to know from my director and producers just recently. The show was earlier titled The Devil. It’s another level of a project. I am very happy. The shoot is done. The show is also ready. Now, producers are in talks with the platforms.”
He added, “A lot of people would love it. Ever since OTT has come in, a lot of people have started watching thrillers a lot more. Every second person you ask watches thrillers at night.”
Shaan will always be thankful to Harman for selecting him for the role. “He selected me for the part,” said the actor. “So, I will always be very grateful to him. It was a very last minute call. And I got to know during the shooting that he was the one who selected me. I have only met him twice. But this thing will always stay with me. I thanked him on both the occasions we met for selecting me after watching my audition. This is how I got the part, which is also most challenging and important part of my life.”
Shaan was amazed by Harman’s down-to-earth nature. “I never felt that I am talking with a big producer or a big actor,” he said. “When I was growing up, I used to love his songs. That’s what I told him also. Whatever happened to his films Love Story 2050 and What’s Your Raashee?, I was a big fan of their songs. I told him and he chuckled. He was so modest. He said, ‘Lekin picturein toh nahin chali’. I said, ‘Toh kya hua? The songs were fab’.”
Shaan was recently seen in the third season of the show Dus June Ki Raat.
