Mahima Makwana debuted on television as a child artiste in the Colors TV series Balika Vadhu, in which she played Gauri. She went on to star in a number of TV shows and serials after that. She also played Rani Dave in the Colors TV series Shubharambh. She recently made her Bollywood debut with Salman Khan and Aayush Sharma starrer Antim - The Final Truth.
In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, when asked whether Antim was the perfect debut for her, the actres said, "Absolutely! As an actor, I started off so early; it was always my dream to see myself on the big screen. I had been auditioning for a lot of Bollywood projects, but things didn’t work out as someone known always replaced me."
She continued, "When Antim happened, the whole experience was so surreal and unreal at the same time that I could not believe it was happening to me. I couldn’t have had a better start."
Antim - The Final Truth was directed by Mahesh Manjrekar. The film was Hindi remake of Marathi movie Mulshi Pattern.
