Priyanka Chopra Jonas recently touched down in Mumbai, India after three years. Following her return to India, the worldwide star has been all about attending events and promoting her brand. While Priyanka’s Anomaly aims to revolutionize India's hair care industry and aid people in their bad hair days, the fashion icon revealed how she herself struggled with such bad hair days in her teenage years.
“When I was young, when I was a teenager, I had too much hair and I had a lot of frizz,” Priyanka shared in an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Hungama. “My hair would be just frizzy and I didn’t know how to control it. If I had the hair and scalp oil, that we’ve created with Anomaly, at that time, I would not have as much trauma that I did with my hair.”
“I used to cut it off, I used to always have it tied up because I just didn’t know how to take care of it,” she added. “In fact, I was going through some of my movie looks that we’ve created in terms of hair just yesterday with my hairstylist Priyanka and we were just talking about the fact that if we had that hair oil at that time, when we had shot Barfii in the heat in Kolkata, my hair wouldn’t have become a nest. It would have been a lot more in control.”
Speaking of Anomaly, the brand was first launched in the United States during the pandemic and was recently introduced in India in partnership with Indian beauty e-commerce company Nykaa. The brand claims high-performance, environmentally-conscious, and clean formulas in the products.
