Following his heartfelt appearance on Bigg Boss 19’s Weekend Ka Vaar episode, Daboo Malik spoke about the intense negativity they have faced online. “What hurts the most is the wave of negativity that has come our way. I never saw us as stars; we are simple musicians,” Daboo said. “But suddenly, the explosion of reactions shows how powerful Bigg Boss really is. I have never been exposed to this kind of language before. At this age, I cannot hear abuses like these.”

He further shared that the criticism had gone beyond Amaal’s conduct on the show and had turned personal. “I have been targeted for my upbringing. As a father, I am being doubted, and false things are being said about me. I am hearing everything, but you cannot stop anyone,” he added.

Daboo Malik Reflects on Amaal’s Bigg Boss 19 Journey

Daboo recalled being initially excited when Amaal joined the reality show, hoping it would showcase his musical talent to a wider audience. However, he admitted that the show’s narrative took him by surprise. “When I saw the first few episodes, I was shocked because the narrative was going in a different direction. I thought Amaal would become more popular for his music. But I think a psychological bubble gets created inside the house — you start behaving differently, and maybe you lose some control,” he explained.

Daboo also appeared on a Weekend Ka Vaar episode alongside host Salman Khan, where he expressed his support for Amaal while also offering him guidance. During the episode, he became emotional and advised his son to avoid making personal comments and to always treat the women in the house with respect.

Amaal Mallik, a popular singer and music composer, has been one of the most talked-about contestants this season due to his strong opinions and interactions with fellow housemates.
