“Bollywood is not a family, it never was and never will be,” says Gulshan Devaiah after the demise of Sushant Singh Rajput : Bollywood News

Actor Gulshan Devaiah has spoken about the concept of Bollywood as a family and has completely rejected the idea. Gulshan who is popularly known for his roles in films like Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota, Shaitaan, Hunterrr was reacting to a statement by actor Meera Chopra in which she had apologised on behalf of the film industry for not standing by Sushant Singh Rajput.

“Really sorry to be doing this but Bollywood is not a family , it never was and never will be . If one thinks it’s a family .. there is the problem. Bollywood is an imaginary name for a place of work that’s it . I am really not trying to put anybody down here & sorry if it seems,” he wrote.

In her post, Meera Chopra wrote that several people in the industry were aware of what Sushant was going through. "If your 1 movie flops they will start treating you like an untouchable. True, Bollywood is a small family, but a kind of family which is never there when you need them," she wrote.

Sushant was known for his acclaimed performances in films such as MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, Sonchiriya, Kai Po Che, and Detective Byomkesh Bakshi among others. The actor’s film Dil Bechara, a remake of The Fault in our Stars will soon be released on Disney plus Hotstar.
