Shah Rukh Khan, the undisputed king of romance, has surprised fans with his action-packed avatar in his three 2023 movies – Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki. In all three films, SRK is seen wielding big guns, a stark contrast to his usual romantic hero image.

The transformation began with Pathaan, a high-octane spy thriller where SRK plays an undercover agent. The film's trailer showcased SRK in intense action sequences, including one where he is seen firing a shotgun.

Next came Jawan, directed by Atlee Kumar. In the gritty drama, SRK plays a soldier and is seen wielding an assault rifle in several scenes.

Now, with the release of Dunki, SRK's action-hero persona is fully cemented. In the film's trailer, SRK is seen firing a shotgun with a menacing look on his face.

SRK himself seems to be enjoying his new action-hero image. In a recent Ask SRK session, he responded to a fan's question about his gun-wielding roles by saying, "I actually really like this...for a romantic hero to be wielding a gun so big in all films!!!"

Speaking of Dunki, it is directed by Rajkumar Hirani. Having said that it is worth mentioning here that Dunki will be Shah Rukh and Raju’s first collaboration. Besides Khan, the film will also star Taapsee Pannu while Vicky Kaushal will be seen playing a pivotal role. The film is slated to release on December 22, clashing with Prabhas starrer Salaar.
