Bigg Boss 19 recently hosted its family week, giving contestants a chance to reconnect with their loved ones. Singer Armaan Malik visited his brother, music composer Amaal Mallik, creating an emotional moment for viewers and housemates alike. During his visit, Armaan also addressed Tanya Mittal’s behaviour, suggesting that she had tried to influence Amaal during the game.
In the episode, Amaal became emotional as soon as he saw Armaan enter the house. He asked about their father, composer Dabboo Malik, and wondered whether their parents were upset with him. Amaal said, “I thought dad would come. How did they bring you? You never wanted me to come on the show. How upset are they with me? How much of the family name have I spoiled outside? I couldn't see you even before coming on the show. How is dad? Are they vibing with the improvement?” Armaan reassured him, saying he was genuinely happy.
Armaan then interacted with the other contestants and spoke about how Bigg Boss 19 housemates had become well-known among viewers. He shared that he was initially worried about Amaal joining the show because of the controversies linked to previous seasons. “I was very scared for Amaal. We have heard so much about this show, I thought Amaal couldn't go. He informed me a day before entering the house, so we couldn't meet. I am seeing him after four months. When I heard Amaal was participating in Bigg Boss, I was in disbelief,” he said.
Armaan also explained how public perception had changed since Amaal entered the show. He mentioned that people now recognised him as Amaal’s brother and even mistook him for Amaal at times, telling him that he had performed well on Bigg Boss.
During a private conversation, Armaan addressed Tanya Mittal’s earlier remarks to Amaal. He claimed that her “Raju-Kaju” story was meant to plant negative ideas about him. “With that Raju-Kaju story, Tanya wanted to feed something else into your mind about you and me. She wanted to put you on some anti-Armaan track, which I didn’t appreciate,” he said.
Tanya had previously shared a story about two brothers—one successful and one struggling—while comforting Amaal, which had unintentionally led to misunderstandings within the Mallik family.
Amaal and Tanya’s friendship have been one of the most talked-about dynamics of the season. Although they appeared to get along, Amaal was seen discussing her behaviour with other contestants on several occasions.
Amaal also clarified in the episode why he had spoken so openly about his family on the show. When asked about their father Dabboo Malik, Armaan responded, “He is living and breathing it,” suggesting that their father was closely following Amaal’s journey.
The episode concluded with the contestants singing a few songs for Armaan and the visiting family members before he exited the house.
