In a recent interview, Armaan Malik shed light on his special bond with brother Amaal Mallik, comparing their relationship to the iconic Tom and Jerry duo—playful yet deeply affectionate, especially during their professional collaborations. Reacting to Amaal’s remark that Armaan is like his baby, yet someone he loves to tease at work, Armaan told Filmfare, “Honestly, I feel like he couldn’t have explained our relationship better.”

Armaan further described their relationship as one rooted in deep love and care outside the studio, with Amaal being extremely protective—at times even overprotective. However, once they enter the recording studio, that affection shifts to playful banter and a sharp focus on their music, often leading to spirited back-and-forths during the creative process.

Armaan shared a candid glimpse into their studio dynamic, saying, “In the studio, he makes me feel terrible. When he fights with me during a recording, I give my best take. He says things like, ‘Kya bakwaas gaa raha hai, wapas gaa’ — Sing again. And he’ll say it ten times till I’m irritated and think, ‘Tereko dikhata hoon main’. And then I deliver in a single take.”

Armaan further shared that his brother has a unique ability to push him to his limits, ultimately bringing out his best performance. He highlighted the strong mutual trust and creative chemistry they share, which he believes is the driving force behind the success of their collaborations.

On Amaal’s 35th birthday, Armaan Malik took to Instagram to share a touching birthday message for his brother, accompanied by a few candid photos of the two together. In the heartfelt caption, he wrote, “Nothing can break or pull us apart. I will love you as long as I have a beating heart. With you, I’ve always felt protected, seen and whole. Big brothers are defenders of the soul. Happy birthday, my lion! @amaal_mallik I hope this smile on your face keeps coming back, baari baari.”
