Amitabh Bachchan shared a video message on X (formerly Twitter) celebrating a proud night for the Bachchan family at the 70th Filmfare Awards on October 11. He, Jaya Bachchan, and Abhishek Bachchan each won a trophy that evening, prompting Big B to thank fans for their love and support.

In his post, Amitabh held the three trophies and said (in Hindi), “One family… three members in the same profession… three awards on the same day. Seventy years of Filmfare honoring Jaya… Best Actor 2025 for Abhishek… and mine for the 70‑year celebration. Jaya, Abhishek, and I feel deep gratitude toward the public. Many, many thanks.”

Fans flooded the comments with praise: “Acche logon ke saath acha hi hota hai. Congratulations Amit ji, Jaya ji, and Abhishek.” “GOAT family.” “Three artists from one family being honoured together—what a proud moment!”

Abhishek’s Tribute and Win

During the awards night, Abhishek Bachchan paid tribute to his father by performing a medley of some of Amitabh’s iconic songs. His act moved the audience and brought Jaya Bachchan to tears. Later, Abhishek won the Best Actor (Leading Role) award for I Want to Talk, a moment he shared with Kartik Aaryan, whose film Chandu Champion also won in the same category.

What’s Next for Amitabh Bachchan

Amitabh will next appear in Ribhu Dasgupta’s Section 84, alongside Diana Penty, Nimrat Kaur, and Abhishek Banerjee, though the release date is yet to be announced. He is also involved in the sequel to Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD, with Prabhas and Kamal Haasan expected to join the cast. Production is set to begin in December. Meanwhile, Big B continues to host Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 17.
