Sonakshi Sinha has managed to achieve a feat that no other counterpart of hers, whether female or male, can boast of at least as of now. In a single calendar year, she has enjoyed as many as three 100 crore super hits, a record which is exclusive to her name.
"She started the year with Rowdy Rathore, got another success with Son of Sardaar and now has Dabangg 2 doing extremely well too. All these three films have now crossed the 100 crore mark, hence making her the only actor who can claim this feat", says a source.
There are others who have done well too this year, case in point with Katrina Kaif (Ek Tha Tiger, Jab Tak Hai Jaan), Asin (Housefull 2, Bol Bachchan) and Priyanka Chopra (Agneepath, Barfi!). However Sonakshi's success rate has been unparalleled.
"Of course it goes without saying that each of these three films was primarily male dominated. Still, a hit is a hit. If her films would have flopped, she would have accepted the brickbats too", says a close associate.
Even amongst her male counterparts, whether it is Salman Khan or Ajay Devgn, both of whom have five and four centuries respectively to their name, the feat has been spread over years instead of taking place within a span of 12 months.
"Guess its good combination of luck and hard work", says Sonakshi, "I can credit myself for being hard working and thoroughly professional. I am punctual, am there on sets on time and don't waste time of others. I believe these are the qualities that help me move forward. This is what people have noticed as well and hence come to me with their films."
With Lootera and Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2 to follow next year and work beginning on Rambo Rajkumar and the remake of Thuppakki, Sonakshi indeed has her eyes on future.
