Vikram Bhatt is another busy director. While he's still working on the multi-starrer Elaan and some more projects, he has been signed in to direct a film for Asthavinayak Films (Funtoosh and Agni Pankh) tentatively titled 'Maharathi'. The film is a murder mystery thriller starring Amitabh Bachchan and Paresh Rawal in the main lead and is adapted from a Gujarati play of the same title, which was directed by Paresh Rawal in 1994. The songless film will go on floors in January 2005 and will be shot in a single stretch of 18 days flat. And the interesting part is that the 2-hour film will have no interval!
