For a youngster to follow his father's footsteps and take up his profession is not new. And in our industry, for a handsome youth to be launched by his star-father is no new trend either. Raj Kapoor/Rishi Kapoor - BOBBY, Rajendra Kumar/Kumar Gaurav - LOVE STORY, Sunil Dutt/Sanjay Dutt - ROCKY, Dharmendra/Sunny Deol - BETAAB and Bobby Deol - BARSAAT and Rakesh Roshan/Hrithik Roshan - KAHO NAA PYAAR HAI are examples that come to your mind instantly. This veteran actor's son is also geared up to face the camera. At a point of time, a reputed production house, known for making big-budget films, was planning to launch the star-son. A technically-efficient director was supposed to direct the launch pad. But the situation seems to have changed. As things stand today, the star-son would be launched in his father's home-production. And the romantic film-maker's erstwhile assistant, who has directed a number of romantic films himself, will be directing this home-production. Will the star-son roar like his father, only time will tell!
