Any other director would've screamed from rooftops. But Rajkumar Hirani continues to have his feet firmly planted on soil. 3 IDIOTS is his third hit in a row - in fact, his biggest to date - yet Hirani hasn't changed one bit. "I was expecting the movie to fare well, but I really didn't expect it to fare this well. I've yet to figure out what actually clicked with the moviegoers," the soft-spoken director tells me.
Next on the cards is MUNNABHAI CHALE AMREEKA, with Munna [Sanju] and Circuit [Arshad]. But before he starts filming the third instalment in the Munnabhai series, the 3 IDIOTS team of producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Hirani, Aamir, Sharman, Madhavan and the core team is visiting various cities [till the first week of January], hoping to connect with the aam junta.
The first stop is Bangalore, where major chunks of the movie were filmed. In fact, a special screening of the film will also be held for the students of IIM, where this film was shot.
