Sudhir Mishra created quite a confusion when he tweeted saying he was shooting for a film called Pyaas in Lucknow when, in fact, he has already begun shooting for his own version of the Devdas saga, entitled Aur Devdas.
So why create this confusion in the public perception?When contacted, Sudhir Mishra confirmed, "I am shooting Aur Devdas in Lucknow with RahulBhatt, Richa Chadha and Aditi Rao. Pyaas was another film that I was planning."
A close associate of Sudhir Mishra clarifies on his behalf, "Sudhir's projects have been falling through lately. His most ambitious Big B-Rishi Kapoor starrer Pehle Aap Janaab failed to take off after months and almost a year of preparation, Sudhir then wanted to make a political thriller. That too never happened. He wanted to take attention away from Devdas, so he could focus on getting it right without prying eyes. Pyaas is a film that Sudhir means to make later. He used the title to camouflage his current project."
