Poor Sonali. With great difficulty she had managed to overcome the jinx label. After Sarfarosh and Hum Saath Saath Hain, she felt finally out of the woods. The industry had started appraising her with renewed interest.
Ace director, David Dhawan, had signed Sonali for his untitled new venture opposite Sanjay Dutt. Sonali was on the seventh heaven for David had a record of consistent hits.
One fine day, Sonali found herself out of the film. Monica Bedi had replaced her. David said Monica held a lot of promise and showed tremendous potential.
We wonder what promise and potential did Monica demonstrate to David so as to have replaced Sonali. Our sympathies are with Sonali.
