Veteran film-maker Shakti Samanta, who has produced a number of memorable hits in the past and has also worked with the biggest of names [Rajesh Khanna, Amitabh Bachchan, Shammi Kapoor, Uttam Kumar and Mithun Chakraborty], is all set to bounce back in the production arena after a hiatus.
The veteran is all geared up to start not one, but two films. While Shakti-da will direct the first film himself, his son Ashim Samanta along with Jyotin Goel will direct the second film.
Both the films may star newcomers, Shakti-da tells me, The one that I am directing may be made in Bengali simultaneously, but I've yet to take a decision on that.
The other film, to be directed by Ashim and Jyotin jointly, will star an Indian hero and a Chinese heroine. It's an Indo-Chinese co-production, he divulges, It will be made in two languages Hindi and Chinese. The story of this film is finalised.
