They say there are no permanent friends and enemies in Bollywood. After Department’s disappointing run at the box office, director Ram Gopal Varma and lead actor Sanjay Dutt got embroiled in an ugly public spat. But now the friends-cum-foes have buried their differences and have patched up.
RGV had openly spoken against Sanjay Dutt and his manager Dharam Oberoi after the failure of Department. RGV also added that more than Dutt it was Dharam who was responsible for creating trouble for Department and also spoiling Dutt’s name. The spat resulted in the ouster of Dharam Oberoi as the CEO of Sanjay Dutt Productions.
Reportedly, choreographer and filmmaker Ahmed Khan jumped in and worked out the reconciliation between Sanjay Dutt and RGV. Ahmed is very close to both Sanjay and Ramu. Ramu had given Ahmed his first big break in Rangeela, when Ahmed was just 19 years old and Sanjay is like an older brother to Ahmed so he couldn’t see them fighting. He and another common friend Rafi Kazi tried to patch them up.
Ahmed convinced Sanjay to call RGV; reportedly the two spoke for a while and sorted out their differences.
RGV tweeted, “Don’t know if dharam is out of sanjays life but if true its the best news I heard cos he’s more dangerous for sanjay than the 93 blast case
