Amitabh Bachchan must be thrilled. His son Abhishek's Players is up for release and what better way to showcase the film than on a huge platform like KBC. While multiple full page advertisements of this Abbas-Mustan thriller in leading newspapers across the country have already garnered an all-around positive response, film buffs across the globe are eagerly awaiting the film's first promo with bated breath.
This would happen between 9 PM-10 PM tonight on all leading entertainment and news channels. While the 30 second teasers would be unleashed in quick succession, those who wish to have an extended dekko of this The Italian Job remake would need to switch on to KBC since it would showcase 100 seconds long promo.
When contacted, Abbas (of Abbas-Mustan duo) confirmed the news. "Yes, KBC would feature a specially designed 100 second long promo of Players. Don't miss it."
There were a few mischief mongers who tried to spoil the party though by leaking the promo to YouTube well in advance early this morning. Even as reactions had started pouring in, the content was subsequently blocked before further damage could be done. This means that officially, it would be only today evening when Players would hit the screens for the first time ever.
A multi-starrer that also stars Sonam Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Bipasha Basu, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Omi Vaidya, Sikander Kher, Johny Lever, Vyacheslav Razbegaev, Aftab Shivdasani and Vinod Khanna, Players has music by Pritam, action by Allan Amin and releases all over on January 6, 2012.
