* Ruchi Narain, best known for her work as a writer in HAZAARON KHWAISHEIN AISI, had directed KAL - YESTERDAY AND TOMORROW and has been signed by Karan Johar to direct a film for Dharma Productions, is also directing the animation film -- HANUMAN 3.

* Bunty Walia has signed Kaizad Gustad to direct his new film. It's called SADDAM CALLING BAGHDAD and stars Boman Irani in the central role.

* Producer Ekta Kapoor and director Milan Luthria will commence shooting of the keenly anticipated ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI 2 from 1 August. Stars Akshay Kumar, Imran Khan and Sonakshi Sinha in lead roles.

* Ace choreographer Ahmed Khan has signed Akshay Kumar for his next venture.

* 21 September will witness the release of three heroine-centric movies: Kareena Kapoor's HEROINE, Sridevi's ENGLISH VINGLISH and Preity Zinta's ISHKQ IN PARIS. Let's wait and watch... who eventually makes it on the scheduled date!

* Vidhu Vinod Chopra is all set to start three films this year: CHITHIYAAN [starring Sharman Joshi and directed by Tanuja Chandra], PK [starring Aamir Khan and directed by Rajkumar Hirani] and in all likelihood, the next installment of MUNNABHAI.
