It’s not a ‘Raaz’ anymore: Mahesh Bhatt to end Raaz series

After the first instalment of the horror flick Raaz proved to be a hit, it gave way to its sequels Raaz: The Mystery Continues and Raaz 3 (in 3D format). While Raaz and Raaz 3 were directed by Vikram Bhatt, Raaz: The Mystery Continues was directed by Mohit Suri. This Friday will see the release of the next instalment of the 'Raaz' series titled Raaz Reboot. While Raaz Reboot has been directed by Vikram Bhatt, it starred Emraan Hashmi, Kriti Kharbanda and Gaurav Arora.

The sad news for all the lovers and followers of the 'Raaz' series is that, Raaz Reboot will be the last film of the franchise. This (sad) news was announced by Mahesh Bhatt yesterday in an interview to a leading newspaper. Mahesh Bhatt said that the 'Raaz' series, which had nourished and sustained them for 14 years, had now finally come to its glorious end. He added that Raaz Reboot was, by far, the finest human take that had been woven into the horror genre by Vikram Bhatt. He also added that, while Raaz was all about the reality of marriage, Raaz Reboot was about how secrets become the enemy of love.

Produced by Vishesh films, Raaz Reboot is slated to release on September 16.
