Renowned yesteryear actress Nirupa Roy passed away on Wednesday morning following a cardiac arrest. She was 73. Nirupa Roy who started her career with the Gujrati film Ranakdevi in 1946 made her debut into Hindi films with Homi Wadia's Amar Raj. But subsequently she was more remembered for playing motherly roles in films. Some of her most popular Hindi films include Deewaar, Amar Akbar Anthony, Suhaag, Betaab and Mard just to name a few from her vast repertoire of more than 250 films. Her last Hindi film was Lal Badshah that released in 1999.
