Just last week we had reported that director producer Sanjay Gupta had moved the Bombay High Court after the FWICE (Federation of Western India Cine Employees) had issued a Non-Cooperation Directive against Gupta following decision of Joint Dispute Settlement Committee (JDSC) of FWICE and IFTDA (Indian Film and Television Directors Association) in the complaint filed by Vinod Bachchan against the filmmaker.
Now we hear that the case which came up for hearing after the court vacation has been ruled in favour of Gupta. Tweeting about the same Gupta posted, "We won the battle... but the war is far from over. My fight isn't against the individual. He is inconsequential. I am fighting the bully associations that believe they are above the law."
Thanks to this verdict Gupta who had stopped the shoot of Jazbaa will resume shooting the film later this month. In fact the irked director even vented his anger on twitter in a series of tweets saying, ""When a film shoot is cancelled its daily wage earners are worst hit. SHOCKINGLY the Federation supposed to look after them indulges in this. These heads of Federations & Councils haven't made a film in years. So they remove their frustration by trying to stop the ones that do. Will soon post IMDB pages of the geniuses that try & screw hardworking Producer/Directors just because they themselves are hardly working."
However despite this ruling, the court has set another date for the hearing, to understand the circumstances and reasons behind the Non-Cooperation Directive that was filed by the FWICE.
