Producer Boney Kapoor has acquired rights for Manish Jha's critically acclaimed film Matrubhoomi and will soon be releasing the film with 150 prints in India. Boney plans to release the film in five languages including Hindi, Bhojpuri, Tamil, Telegu and Bengali. The film has made rounds of almost all international film festivals in the last two years. Also Matrubhoomi is the only Hindi film that has been mentioned in the Time Magazine.
The futuristic film based on the theme of female infanticide stars Tulip Joshi, Sushant Singh, Sudhir Pandey, Aditya Srivastava and Piyush Mishra.
