The producers of PRAAN JAYE PAR SHAAN NA JAYE had initially decided to release the film next week [April 25]. In fact, the producers even called a press conference to announce their decision and also announced the chain of theatres in newspapers the following morning, which clearly meant flouting the stand taken by the producers' associations of holding back all new releases.
But better sense prevailed and the producers of P.J.P.S.N.J. have now decided to stand by the producers' associations. ''We've decided not to release the film on April 25. The producers' fraternity is fighting for a cause and we don't want to break that unity,'' Raj Lalchandani, one of the producers of the film, told this writer.
Meanwhile, ISHQ VISHK, which was expected to release on April 25, has also been postponed. We've decided to stand by our brothers [producers]. That explains why we've decided to shift the release date of ISHQ VISHK to May 9, Ramesh Taurani said on Friday evening.
