Farhan Akhtar may have wrapped up the entire shooting of his new film LAKSHYA in mid-December 2003, but he has decided to release the film exactly six months later, in June 2004 to be precise. Under normal circumstances, the film should be ready for release in March or April, three/four months after it is completed.
The reason for releasing the film at a leisurely pace is because Farhan wants to concentrate on the post-production of the film. "The sound designing will be executed in Australia," the director of DIL CHAHTA HAI tells me, "I don't want to hurry on that. It makes no sense compromising on the quality of the film."
LAKSHYA brings Amitabh Bachchan and Hrithik Roshan together for the second time, after Karan Johar's smash hit K3G.
