Kareena croons for ‘Dev’ : Bollywood News

Kareena Kapoor, who plays a stellar role in Govind Nihalani's forthcoming film DEV, sprang a surprise when she rendered a song of the film. Tuned by Aadesh Srivastava, the lyrics were penned by eminent writer Nida Fazli. Govind Nihalani looked elated. Kareena has a beautiful voice - particularly when she speaks softly. My decision was instinctive and instant and Aadesh agreed fully. She was a bit hesitant initially, but agreed eventually, Nihalani divulges. During the recording, Kareena was constantly wondering whether she would be able to do justice to the song. After rehearsals with Aadesh, who guided her through every line she sang, the song was recorded. A jubilant Kareena exclaimed, It was a wonderful experience. It was fun. Equally elated were Nihalani and Aadesh at their choice. I knew from the beginning that she had it in her, Nihalani states. Slated for release in June, DEV features Amitabh Bachchan, Om Puri, Fardeen Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Amrish Puri, Rati Agnihotri, Milind Gunaji, Ehsaan Khan and Amrita Subhash. Presented by Entertainment One and Applause Entertainment in association with Govind Nihalani's Udbhav Dreamzone, the film has cinematography and direction by Govind Nihalani.
