John takes on Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal director

Over four years back when John Abraham had seen good success coming his way in Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal, he was all praise for the film's director Vivek Agnihotri. However, the two are now finding each other on a war path, what with their films clashing with each other at the box office.


"Yes, it's true", confirms a trade expert, "On the same day when Vivek is bringing his Hate Story, John has announced his debut production Vicky Donor as well. It's a rather surprising development since former was announced first. However, now that the plans have been finalised, it is inevitable that John and Vivek would find themselves in an uncomfortable position."


When Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal had released, it had given John Abraham his biggest opening ever for a solo starrer. Though he had enjoyed success before with the likes of multistarrers like Dhoom, Kaal and Kabul Express to name a few, it was Vivek who was confident enough to centre the entire promotion of Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal on John despite Arshad Warsi featuring in the film as well.


"Well, John hasn't forgotten that but at the end of it all this is a business decision", an insider adds, "Also, let's not forget that the arrival here isn't just his sole decision. There is Eros and another new producer Ronnie Lahiri involved as well. Yes, there was a thought put into finding the best slot for the film but any further delay would have made it clash with the IPL at its peak. As for it's arrival in June or later, it was almost impossible since biggies like Talaash, Rowdy Rathore and Shanghai are lined up for that time period. John had no other choice but to bring Vicky Donor now."


On his end though Vivek along with producer Vikram Bhatt are going all out to pump up the promotion of Hate Story. While the identity of the backless woman (Paoli Dam) has finally been unveiled, they are now all set to unveil a hard hitting promo that boasts of a heavy dose of erotica and drama.


On the other hand, John's film about a sperm donor (Ayushman Khurana) has already caught on steam ever since its promo was unveiled over the weekend. With a quirky never-seen-before comedy challenging the 'most erotic Bollywood movie ever' (as claimed by the makers), it would be interesting to see who is the first to score a 'goal'.


Vivek was surprised when informed about the battle-in-the-making. He said, "Wow, I never realised something like this is happening. I am sure it is sheer coincidence."
