Jiah Khan opposite Shahid in Ken Ghosh’s next

Karan Johar is anxious for personal and professional reasons. On the personal front, while father Yash Johar has returned from the U.S. and will now undergo treatment in Mumbai [he has been unwell for some time now!], professionally speaking, KAL HO NAA HO is expected to clash with another biggie KHAKEE on November 28.

Is KHAKEE coming with us? he asks and when I nod in the affirmative, Karan does sound concerned, Well, I am nervous because both [KAL HO NAA HO and KHEKEE] are important films, big films. I am also worried because KAL HO NAA HO is being directed by a new director [Nikhil Advani]; imagine your first film clashing with a huge film! But, I must add, Nikhil has done full justice to the script [penned by Karan].

Co-incidentally, it's the second time a Johar film is clashing with a Big B film. Diwali 1998 witnessed the clash of KUCH KUCH HOTA HAI and BADE MIYA CHOTE MIYAN. Both worked at the box-office. Oh yes, I forgot that, thanks for reminding me, Karan laughs.

But this time, the clash is special, for KAL HO NAA HO stars Jaya Bachchan in a pivotal role, while KHAKEE stars Amitabh Bachchan in the central role. Besides, Kajol [though in a miniscule role!] in KAL HO NAA HO and husband Ajay Devgan in KHAKEE will also come face-to-face this time around. Naturally, this 'clash' is keenly looked forward to!
