Shiv Sena leaders forced Hansal Mehta, director of Dil Pe Mat Le Yaar, to touch his forehead on the feet of an old woman resident of Khar-Danda area for a dialogue in the film, which refers to Khar-Danda as a place where there is 'loot-maar, chori and ladkiyon ka adda'. Sena leaders also made Mehta promise to delete the offensive portions and place an apology in the front pages of newspapers for hurting the sentiments of people.
We presume that is why the movie was titled 'Dil Pe Mat Le Yaar'
