The film industry in Maharashtra is stopping all activities, production, distribution and exhibition, from 9th June since the government has imposed a 4% Sales Tax on the industry, with effect from 1st May 2000. The fate of big budget and top banner movies like Josh & Refugee which were slated to be released in June now hangs in balance till the agreement is reached at. More details are awaited.
