Bachchan to be honoured at Pune Film Festival : Bollywood News

Legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan already has a list of accolades under his belt, and now, the megastar will be honoured by yet another award.

The Pune Film Festival will soon be presenting the actor an award for his outstanding contribution to Indian Cinema. Speaking about this on his blog, Bachchan says, "The Pune Film Festival wishes to honor me for my contribution to cinema and I find that most embarrassing, for the truth is that I really have not contributed at all."

Apart from Bachchan, playback singer Asha Bhosle will be honoured for her outstanding contribution to the Indian cinema while the coveted Sachin Dev Burman International award for creative music and sound will be conferred on prominent music director Ilayaraja.

The 10th Pune Film Festival will be inaugurated on January 12 by Sanjay Devtale, Minister Of Cultural Affairs, at City Pride (Kothrud).
