The initial phase when the banner Shree Ashtavinayak Cinevision Pvt Ltd was launched by producers Dhilin Mehta and Seema Kar was not very lucrative. What with films like Fun2ssh and Agni Pankh sinking without a trace at the box-office! But off lately the production outfit seems to be going great guns.
Their first big film, the Salman-Katrina-Sushmita starrer Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya? is all set to hit the screens shortly. Soon after follows a line-up of productions.
The first venture, Golmaal to be directed by Rohit Shetty (who earlier directed Zameen) starts in October. The film stars Ajay Devgan and Arshad Warsi. Next on the list is a thriller by Abbas Mustan starring Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgan and Kareena Kapoor. Last but not the least is a Priyadarshan film starring Akshay Kumar and John Abraham.
