Anoop Jalota to make a Bhojpuri film : Bollywood News

Singer Anoop Jalota known for his religious songs (Bhajans) is now producing a Bhojpuri film. Since past few years, the Bhojpuri film industry has been growing in its popularity and the known names from Bollywood are also moving towards it. The film is being directed by duo Amit Chauuhan and Santosh Mandal. Amit Chauuhan has been an assistant to Nabh Kumar Raju and has also been working in the South Indian film industry while Santosh Mandal has been the chief editor with Prakash Jha for films like Rahul, Gangaajal and Apaharan. Their Bhojpuri film is titled Ganga Tohre Desh Mein. Says director Amit Chauuhan, The film is actually being made in Avadhi language, which is one of the oldest languages in India. Ganga Tohre Desh Mein is about a family which gets destroyed due to dirty politics played in their town. The family consisting of a mother and two sons then migrate to a bigger city. The elder son later tries to fight back the corrupt political powers but unfortunately, he himself gets ends up becoming one of them. Amit is very confident about the film and says that this film to be at par with the Bollywood films. Recently, Anoop Jalota also recorded a song for this film. It is a religious track which he has sung and Jalota will also be seen singing this song in the film. The film Ganga Tohre Desh Mein will go on floors by March and the release will take place in the later half of the year.
