Akshay Kumar leads a hectic lifestyle. Currently shooting in Canada for Sridevi and Boney Kapoor's BEWAFA, Akshay had committed to a stage performance at the I.I.F.A. Awards in Johannesburg. There was no time for rehearsals, so the videos of the rehearsals were couriered to him in Canada, Shiamak Davar, who choreographed the 'acts' of all the stars at I.I.F.A., tells me. So, on May 16, Akshay boarded a flight from Canada to South Africa, reached on the nick of time on May 17, an hour or so before the show was to begin, did his 'act', participated in the launch of AB TUMHARE HAWALE WATAN SAATHIYO [the film was launched at the I.I.F.A.] and sped off to the airport to board the flight back to Canada. So, technically, Akshay was in the air [flying time] for more than 30 hours and on land for 4 hours only, working at a feverish pace! I was nervous, biting my nails all through, Anil Sharma, maker of AB TUMHARE HAWALE WATAN SAATHIYO, tells me. The mahurat shot depicted Sharma introducing the three stars of the film, one by one Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar and Bobby Deol. Had Akshay been delayed, I would've had to change the concept of the launch. But all's well that ends well!
