If you are finding Aditya Roy Kapur to be a tad bulkier when compared to his Aashiqui 2 days, there is a reason behind that. From playing an alcoholic in the Mohit Suri film, a part which required him to turn weaker with every passing episode, it was a much happier environment that he found himself in during the making of Habib Faisal’s Daawat-e-Ishq. Reason being that he is playing the role of a chef, something which by default brought him much closer to food than ever before.
Confirms a close associate of the actor, “Yes, he has put on 8 kgs during the making of the film and that too in a very quick time. In fact he never even got an opportunity to get rid of any weight whatsoever since there are many scenes in the film that require him to eat. At times, he was even eating portions of the same food multiple times in the same setting since certain shots were captured from various camera angles. While biting bread is one thing, when it comes to gorging on delicacies coming from Lucknow and Hyderabad, especially the fast food and sweets, it is a different thing altogether.”
That resulted in so much intake of food for Aditya that he started looking bulkier than ever before. Not that Habib Faisal, Aditya Chopra or Aditya Roy minded at all since all of this went completely as per the demand of the script and the graph of the character.
Now that the film’s shooting is through, the tough part ensues since Aditya has to get ready to be in a much leaner space for his next film.
“The honeymoon period is over, now it is back to the grind,” a friend of Aditya informs, “He is now training hard and following a strict regime to get a lean body. He knows that there is a job in hand to knock off all the extra kilos. He is keeping a close watch on his food by maintaining a strict diet. Moreover, he is following strenuous workouts too.”
With Abhishek Kapoor’s Fitoor as his next outing and none less than Katrina Kaif alongside him, one can well understand that Aditya would indeed be a man in hurry now.
