But Anil [GADAR] Sharma, who is currently making AB TUMHARE HAWALE WATAN SAATHIYO [Big B, Akshay Kumar, Bobby Deol], is least bothered about the various rumours surrounding his most ambitious project. Kuch to log kahenge, logon ka kaam hain kehna, he laughs. In fact, AB TUMHARE HAWALE WATAN SAATHIYO has been embroiled in a controversy from Day 1. Actually, the film has been in the news even before Sharma began filming it. Reportedly, Akshay Kumar was ready to opt out of the film if pressurised to mouth anti-Pak dialogues. Let's take on the controversies one by one, Sharma laughs, Jokes apart, let me clarify that there's nothing anti-Pak in AB TUMHARE HAWALE WATAN SAATHIYO. In fact, the film propagates the theme that if India and Pakistan join hands, we can root out terrorism from the face of earth. I just don't understand how and why this issue [of Akshay expressing a desire to opt out] erupted in the first place. The second controversy pertains to changing the script after the film went on the floors. Reportedly, the Kargil episode was overnight changed to the 1971 war with Pak and the liberation of Bangladesh. The script was never altered, let me spell out once and for all, Sharma bares his heart for the first time, The film looks at the 1971 war, yes, but there's no Pak-bashing or jingoism, I repeat. It tackles something else altogether. Please elaborate. AB TUMHARE HAWALE WATAN SAATHIYO revolves around the relationship between an elderly man [Amitabh Bachchan] and his grand-son [Bobby Deol]. Simultaneously, it's a love triangle, with both Akshay and Bobby falling in love with the same girl Divya, Sharma confides. Sharma hopes to wrap up the entire shooting by May. I am aiming at releasing the film on August 15 this year, he states, It's sad that people don't talk about the fact that I'd be completing such a massive film in less than six months of its launch. All they're interested in is whether I've run out of finance or not. Reportedly, the budget of this film will surpass that of his earlier film, GADAR and THE HERO. I wouldn't like to reveal the budget at this stage, he smiles, But, yes, AB TUMHARE HAWALE WATAN SAATHIYO is my most expensive film to date. Much more expensive that my previous film [THE HERO].
