January 18th 2007 saw the opening of Sport Movies & TV 2nd Mumbai International FICTS Festival The event had a true international feel to it with filmmakers flying down from across the world including Ms. Goya Castro (Brazil), Mr. Lance Englund and his team (United States), Mr. Perry Stevens (United Kingdom), Mr. Frank Reyes (United States) and Mr. David Winters from Thailand amongst others. Before the inaugural ceremony, Los Angles based jazz group BrightBlue Gorilla enthralled the audience with its scintillating music. Finally the festival was inaugurated by veteran producer of many international films Mr. David Winters whose entry THE KINGMAKER was the opening film. Present at the do were many patrons of good cinema. Also present were jury members Ayaz Memon and Mr. P. Biswas sharing their excitement with Festival Director Ritesh Sinha.
